If you haven’t been to the Elmdale Tavern in Ottawa (and you, by chance or design, have come live in Ottawa) then you have not truly seen the true indy scene in this city. Feeling a bit like a legion, the Elmdale has lots of tables, hockey on the tele and pool tables in a separate room to the back. There is no stage for the constant stream of excellent live music to be played from – but – in deference to their excellent PA and capable sound guy, all shows come out swinging. No food is served at the Elmdale but KFC is right next door so get a Family Fun Bucket and bring your laptop so you can blog about our next show while you gorge on draft and chicken – yeah? See you there.
